It comes with like ten other Metros for parts though, right?

Was thinking the same thing.
Apparently these don’t depreciate.

The MSRP for the cheapest ‘91 was $7,060 which is around $13,000 in today’s money, so either way a good deal more . Though you can make a case it was only worth $4,500 in ‘ 93 dollars.

Looks pretty clean, but I think spending the extra $100 for the convertible is well worth it:

(sure there’s another one that’s cheaper, and from a dealer instead of some guy who posts one picture and no VIN, but its striping is uglier)

Did anyone actually pay MSRP for them when they were new, though?
I would not at all be surprised if many people drove home brand new Metros for $4500 or less.

I’d assume there were strong discounts, but there can’t have been much margin on these to discount.

Why would you ever need parts for such a high quality Japanese car? I mean obviously all the parts on yours are working perfectly even despite the harsh rallying.

Twin falls, high and dry. Probably in pristine condition other than some dry rot.

And to add insult to injury, it’s a manual, so you have to change your own gears like an animal!

I remember in in 2008 when gas was like $4 a gallon and these were going for obscene prices. Apparently this dealership is stuck in last decade.

Which they could fill up for like $18.
